FS95 Congratulations Dawn!

I created this card for todays FS95 Dawn, she has an amazing gallery. Head over to SCS and check it out and play along. You case (copy and share everything) one of Dawn's cards and change at least two things. I kept the same lay-out, I changed the image, the colors, and I added the sentiment. I used real red, soft sky, and white, I used Riley sking from Hanna stamps, I colored him with SU markers and copics. I used the snowflake cb folder and embossed the top layer, soft sky piece of cs. I used two different kinds of ribbon, Dawn had done this also....I wanted to keep that element, I luv the look. I tore the bottom piece of cs and added dazzling diamonds for snow. I have a very special person in mind for this card. Enjoy your visit and come back often.

Here is the inside of the card, I used the Martha Stewart snowflake punch and added dazzling diamonds to the center.

Whimsy Snowman

green snowflake wrapping paper, there is some very cool wrapping paper on this site. I used the SU snowflake dp from the Wish Simply Scrappin, this scrappin pack is so awesome.....some adorable die cuts! I used Stampendous Jolly Snowman for the main image. I colored his hat, outlined him with old olive around his round body, colored the heart with real red, and added dazzling daimonds for the snow. I layered him once and cut him out. I used the felt chocolate ribbon, I stamped the sentiment in choclate, it's from Verve. I punched it out with the curly punch. He turned out so very sweet. Blogger #3 Challenge #1

O.K. girls here is my first challenge card to use yellow, orange, and flowers. I believe this fits the criteria. I used my favorite die, the top die. If you don't have this you should give it a try, I luv it! I used the SU Haiku dp, great stuff. I used stamps from Papertrey Ink and sentiment from Verve. I also used the curly punch (it matches the top die, only smaller..hehe). I found the orange checkered ribbon at Michael's it matches the tangerine tango nicely. I added pearl brads to the center of the flowers, attached it all to a old olive card base. I hope you like it, I am very pleased with how it turned out. Enjoy!

Thanksgiving Day

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, we have so many reasons to be thankful! We spend the day with my wonderful MIL, my brother-in-law and his girlfriend. We always have plenty to eat, laugh and have a great time. We talk about where we will go on black Friday. My MIL works at the famous Wal-Mart, so it is always super busy and fun. She can tell some great stories about the day. Here are a few pictures from Thanksgiving day, my MIL took some with her camera, but I need to get those from her. Enjoy the weekend!

Chocolate Pearled Hot Cocoa

I made this for three challenges Beate's WSC67, LSC195, to use chocolate on your card. I used chocolate chip CS, my mug is full of steamy hot cocoa.....yummy! This was also made for WT193, to use pearls. I used a pearl in the ribbon tag and the coffee mug has polka dots on it so I added tiny pearls in place of the polka dots. I really like the way it turned out. I CB half of the back panel to give some texture. I ran a piece of CS thru the CB using the top note die. I luv this die, such a great design. I cut it in half and stamped the warm and fun sentiment. Enjoy yourself a cup of hot cocoa and come back and visit often. Enjoy your time here!

I only have three more weeks of fall classes, yeah! I will start spring classes in January. I do not get in near as much play time with going back to school, but I luv the classes I am taking. I will keep juggling time....we all do that, don't we? Have a great weekend!

BAM! thanks Emeril! I came up with the Girly Book title because I think that the top note die is girly looking with the curves. All of us girls like having some curves....hehehe. I think it looks like a little book, too.....Girly Book. All the the stamps are Verve. I used SU ribbon, and added dazzling diamonds to the snowflakes on the stepped up version. I also added Hero Atrs bling for the snowman button, and I colored in the stepped up version. The tutorial for these little boxes is done by Angie Tieman, you can visit her blog schwoo! for more details. I have also added pictures and instructions. I luv these little boxes, perfect for gift cards this hoilday season. Make one for youself and enjoy!

Take a sheet of CS size 8" x 5 1/2" and score on the long side at 1", 3 1/2", 4 1/2", and 7" . Then on the other side score on both ends at 1".

Cut the tiny scored pieces into the 1" mark.

Take a regular sized card and your top note die and run it throught your cutter. I used a Cuttlebug. The recipe for running through the CB: starting from the bottom, B plate, top note die cutter up, CS, and the other B plate and run through the cuttlebug .

I used my crop-a-dile for the eyelet holes and added black eyelets. I used tacky tape on the inside for the ribbon.

Tacky tape pulled away ready for ribbon.

Ribbon in place and ready to be added to the box.

Tacky tape on all sides of the top and bottom of the little box.

Shown finised with a Starbucks gift card ready for gift giving.

Spotlight Christmas

I created this for the VSHR4-Verve Sketch Holiday Release and for the LSC193 over at SCS. The limited challenge is to use a rectangle and a circle. I thought it would be perfect for the spotlight technique. I did turn the sketch to fit this stamp. I stamped this beautiful inkadinkado stamp in close to cocoa and then stamped the circled part in bravo burgandy. I punched it out for the spotlight and added to the top panel. I also used Ranger Burgandy Stickles in the poinsettia to hightlight even more. The dp is Cosmo Cricket, it's called Wonderland. The card itself is kraft and vanilla. Check out the Verve challenge and play along! I am so glad you stopped by to visit and I hope you enjoy browsing!

Quickly Cutting Corners

This is a super quick card for two challenges. I made it for the Verve Holiday Release Sketch Challenge VSHR3 and for todays WT191 from SCS. The Wt191 challenge you where to use punches. I used my corner rounder punch from SU with the guard off to make scallops. I just ordered the scallop punch from SU, but haven't received it yet. I can't wait to try it out, I am hoping it saves me some time. The three trees stamp is marked made in Canada, but I do not know by who....I just luv these three trees. I used SU holiday dp and the soft fuzzy ribbon....I really like it too. I added the sentiment and dazzling diamonds to the star and my card for today is complete.

My day starts at 5:15 a.m. and I have not stopped, I am so ready for bed. Thanks for stopping by, come back often. Enjoy your evening!

Joy For Mourning

This is for the Verve Holiday Release Sketch Challenge VSHR2. I used the Verve Plain Jane stamp Isaiah 61:3 on the inside. The Plain Jane's are my favorite stamps from Verve, they are beautiful scripture stamps. I used SU soft sky, chocolate chip, and a older dp. All of the stamps are Verve. I colored with copics, added dew drops, cut the main panel like a tag and added ribbon. The sentiment was stamped over the flower stamp image and punched out.
I made this with great heaviness in my heart for a church friend whose daughter passed away. We must pray for our nation and the people who are involved in drugs.

Thanks for visting and come back often, enjoy your day!

I also added the chocolate ribbon from the ribbon originals thats in the mini cattie. I am really likin this ribbon; but, there is not much ribbon I don't like. lol What a fun sketch. WSC64 Thinking Of You

This is for Beate's WSC64. I made this for a co-worker who is out on leave, I will get all of the poeple in my area to sign it. I used the CB embossing folder friends forever to emboss the stems down the left side. I used SU ski slope dp. I know it is snowflakes, but honestly I don't think they look exactly like snowflakes, so I decided to use the dp for other stuff, too. Tell me your opinion on the dp, I would really like to know. I added the choc. chip soft ribbon. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy!

I have added to my blog a place where you can subscibe for email updates, check it out and sign up for all the latest glitz!

FS91 Congratulations Becca

I made this for todays FS91, Becca. Check out her gallery and play along. I luvd the way the inside was cut out of the scalloped circle and the frame is highlighted. Such a cool idea. I used SU ski slope dp, white, real red, baja breeze, and blue bayou cs. I used SU striped real red ribbon. I scalloped the bottom edge of the card with the corner rounder punch. To use the corner rounder as a scallop, you will need to take the gaurd off of the punch and line up each punch as you go. I also added a little stickles to some of the snowflakes to give a little sparkle. I used my Karen Foster snap & stamp set for the small Merry Christmas in the top right corner. I hope you like it and enjoy your day!
