Birthday Goodies

I happy to share Amber's Viva la Verve sketch with a walk through master bedrooms.  I adore the bedding in room I chose, it something about the teal green and red that I dearly luv!  I received a wonderful package in the mail for my birthday from a very good friend and there where Primas inside...wow...these where my very first Prima flowers, they are lovely!  I wanted to showcase the flower it is so gorgeous, I let it do the work for me.  I did add some embossing, ribbon, and the tiny pom pom ribbon(also in my package) to complete my card.  My birthday was sprinkled with lots of kindness, it is my hope to share that same kindness with others in the next year!  I picked up lots of goodies for my self on a shopping trip this past week and will be ordering more fun stuff with the money I received for my birthday....hehehe.  I do hope that you can join us for the Verve Anni-Verve-sary Blog Hop, it will start at Julee's Blog tomorrow at 10:00 EST....I am sure there will be prizes to be won.  Enjoy!

Flowers & Wood Grain

ETA:  I have been asked about the distressing on my cards, I use scissors.  I keep running the scissors over the edge until I get the look I want.  Some days I go heavier than others...thank you for your comments and questions!  I so enjoy interacting with everyone and sharing thoughts and ides.
Happy day to you, I have a quick post spotlighting the famous Color Throwdown,CTD103 colors and Karen's fabulous Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC79.  I also played along with todays WT281, to use wood grain.  Only I would find a way to mix flowers and wood grain......lol.  I grunged it up a bit and used a fuzzy fiber.  The flower and stem is a set from KaiserCraft.  I really like using a little bling with grunge, it reminds me of those faded old blue jeans with a t-shirt and a sweet pearl necklace....fashion at its best!  Don't forget about the Verve Anniversary Blog Hop that will be taking place this Sunday, August 1.  You won't want to miss all the wonderful creations and you know there will be prizes.  You can get all the details here!
Enjoy.

Be Full Of Cheer

I have a couple of cards to share to finish up the 33 Dirty Girl  Challenges...whew!  The challenges have been a blast, the last card I had to make was a Christmas/Winter theme.  I used only chipboard on this card, using Amber's sketch from the Viva la Verve on July 16, the inspiration came from the Snowman shower curtain here.  the bottom card is using an Inkadinkado set called Petal Expressions, I used a Verve sentiment.  i added the fibers and Tim Holtz die for the bottom.  I picked up a few things on my shopping trip yesterday that I have been wanting.
We do not have stores around here that sell the "good stuff" and sometimes I do not want to pay the high shipping prices.  I should do a group order with my girlfriends from time to time to share in the shipping.  I hope you had a wonderful day...enjoy!

I used the Clean & Simple Sketch, FTL100 for this card.

Verve Project Parade-Hero's

I am so excited to share with you today's cards....Verve's Project Parade is going on and you still have time to get you "Hero" themed project in for your chance to win.  The deadline for getting your project in is July 30, you can load your project on this Verve post.  To see my completed project(there are six cards) and to read all about it, head over to the Verve Blog.  I chose to make cards for the men and woman serving in our military, Operation Write Home is a great way to help.  They are wanting some help with a half/half project, you can read about that here.  There are some guidelines, it is super important that you take the time to read them in your effort to help.  You can read all about it here.  NO glitter is a huge guideline, you can read about that here The cards must be marked Operation Write Home on the back, I made labels on my computer.  Only A2 sized cards and the tuck of the envelopes are also important, you can read about that here and watch the video.  These ladies put forth a huge effort to stay organized and keep it uniform, lets help them help the men and woman in the service....true hero's!  I used a sketch from the dirty girl challenges for the card on the right.

Happy Birthday

Good morning, excuse the messy looking blog, I have a new look coming.  I am not sure if I like this new template, I hope it grows on me.  I have a simple CAS to share today, using a sketch that is very similar so I am posting both.  The Clean  & Simple, FTL98 and for Taylor's Sketch, TESC120.
I used basicgrey scraps from the porcelain paper pad, the sentiment is from Verve's Big Wish Set.  I added embossing with the SU embossing folder and a big ole button tied with linen thread.  Super simple card, but I think the patterns and textures go nice together, don't you?  I hope you have a wonderful day....enjoy!
