inspired by - keep smiling

hello friends, today is friday for a lot of  people; me being one of them...a good ole three day easter weekend is planned for us....a little creating, diy, church, easter meal, and some r&r. I have used the awesome simon says stamp april card kit for my card to day, it is full of all kinds of goodies! I have used laurel's sketchy saturday sketch for my card, check her sketches out too! I invested in the amazing homemade watercolors from rachel, designs by rachel beth...so luv these paints! What an extravagant splurge they are, but sometimes we deserve it! I have used a plaid stencil from carta bella to apply embossing paste. the leaves, butterflies, and sentiment are all from the card kit. Be sure to stop by the rest of the teams blogs, these ladies are amazing!

sunday stamps - have a beautiful day

I have used a piece of designer paper from the simon says stamp march card kit for the main focus of my card; it is sold out. But, you can insure you receive the card kit every month by signing up here. The sentiment from this card is from the april card kit of the month, it is still available and I will be sharing another card made with it on thursday. I kept my card super simple and only added a few clear sequins. Be sure to check out the design teams cards for added inspiration!

as you see it - be you

hello friends and happy friday....I luv friday's, don;t you? I had such fun with this card, adding a few layers with embossing paste, washi tape, and designer paper. I faux watercolored the flowers....stamp on watercolor paper with distress inks and then spritz with water. It really is a quick and easy way to get a watercolor affect. I added the cut out sentiment and a few enamel dots and enamel hearts. I hope you play along with us and have a wonderful weekend!

I added ink color to my embossing paste and then used a checkered stencil for a fun background. Technique Tuesday is giving away a greenhouse stamp and die of your choice on my instragram, 2klines; one post back...look for it and comment. Be sure to check out the other design teams projects and see what they created!

I have created the watercolor b&w stripes using tim holtz distress ink and a paint brush, I luv creating this sorta background more than using b&w designer paper. I stamped the flowers using various colors of altenew blue inks to created a fun watercolor looking flower...no watercoloring. Altenew makes it so easy to create beautiful flowers using their build a flower stamp sets, looks amazing! I hope you have a wonderful hump day, the weekend cannot come soon enough!
